LOL-- hes the noob period. One reason (as i gather anyhow) is he most likely didn't have sprint. When i played my W/mo in ascalon PVP sprint got me many many kills from runners. They tried to run even monk warriors who used sprint themselfs, but i always waited till they used thier sprint first and always got em in the end.

Being a monk is pretty tough. Although I have to admit that only one person has ever blamed me for not healing them (I had no energy left). I've never been called a "n00b" either, but I think I'll consider myself lucky for not encountering those people.

Warriors like to charge in and expect to be healed, it's possible if the monk has full energy at the start of the fight. I have a suggestion though for healing monks out there: use the skill "Vigorous Spirit". Basically the player is healed for small amount of life when they attack or cast spells, this lasts for 30 seconds and only costs you 5 Energy. It works great in a large group of warriors.

Yeah; the best missions result from an intelligent leader and a lot of passive, intelligent people.

I've been called a n00b for playing protection in a 2-monk party where the other monk is the healer. Usually by a warrior who likes to run ahead and needs a party of monks to keep him out of trouble

a healing monk + a protection monk = t3h win in nearly every mission, so long as the players have half a brain.

Ok, maybe I exaggerated.
Anyway, my health was very low, so I died quickly. The only 3 people alive ran like hell, followed by two Fire Titans. I kept yelling at them: just die, dont take the mobs near the monk, he'll rez you later. Of course, no answer whatsoever. Panic won. Not only they DID take the mobs near the monk, they even managed to get stuck into the only dead end of all the friggin map. Quite frustrating if you ask me.

Oh, and a clear message goes to all the smarty-smarty guys who pompously state:
"In my perfect world, where I can find superior vigor runes every 2 hours and Rurik doesn't even die but is just caressed with a flower and then shakes hands friendly with the xenophobe dwarf king, I have no need whatsoever of PUG, henchies are always enough. 99% of missions of the game can be done with mercs, hey, I even talk to them sometimes, and Alesia is kind of dating me. If you cant finish the game using just henchies, youre not cool"

Please stop it. You are pathetic. Admit finding a good group is a horrible pain, because even if I'm in a guild this doesn't mean the G always baby-sits me or anyone else.
(Don't misunderstand me...even with that, I love this game )
You know, me and Alesia hit it off right from the start. I don't know why, since i play a female character, but something in me told me that she wanted a piece of it. So anyhow, when the brawler came running up to me (as he always does...) Alesia decided not to heal him... Furious with them all, i left... and disbanned from use of all henchman forever.

Default Amazing Final Mission

So, I'm doing the final mission with 6 folks and 2 henchies (healers) and thought I had figured out how to get rid of some big green glowing roundy-thingies (you know what they are if you've been there...hate to spoil it). One of the guys offers a suicidal-sounding alternative and we debate...i give in...he was right...At this point we lose a member of the party bacause he captured the skill he was after, so he disconnects...come to the cut-scene with the dead guy we all know and love (again, don't wanna spoil)...when scene is over, another member (the one i used my rez sig on) is MIA...disconnected...we decide to go for it anyway...died and rezzed ALOT...but with patience, strategy, communication, cooperation, and some of the best damned pulling I've ever seen....we beat it...4 guys with two henchies...

My favorite was when I was trying to help a friend get to Dunes of Despair. He had formed a party, and asked me if I could help, cause none of them knew where it was. So I agreed. They of course, being idiots, told me that with the party we had (2W/Mo, 1 Mo/Me, 1 R/E, 1 E/Mo, me a N/Mo and a healer hench, all above lvl 18) it would be impossible to fight our way to dunes.

I, having a brain, knew better. After a great deal of argument we came to a compromise. I would let them run by the sand elementals, but when we got to the Jade Scarabs are the easiest enemies in the world for me, there is no way our party of six would have had a problem with them.

So we head out. We run from agury rock to the second EA we have to get through. We run past the Sand Elementals, after a couple of deaths because my party preffered to run in a huge triangle patern that had been concieved of to aggro as many enemies as possible in the shortest ammount of time.

After we got past the Sand Elementals, We gathered, let our health and energy regen, and I called a scarab as a target. My friend and I attacked it, because that is the smart thing to do, the rest of the party ran by and triggered the spawns of about 20 more scarabs. The warriors sprinted and the scarabs lost interest in them, but they still had interest in me and they all attacked. My friend and I got killed because we were an elementalist and a necro against 25 or so scarabs, with no warriors. And I need corpses to get going, so we got screwed.

The rest of the party then bitched at me. "You said you could take those guys." "WTF is wrong with you. You are such a n00b, I bet you dont even know where we're going." "He doesn't know where we're going, hes a n00b."

The intrepid warrior dumbass decided that I didn't know where Dunes, ignored everything I said and took the transit out of Vulture Drifts to the Arid Sea. It ressed me, so I turned around and went back through to the vulture drifts, assuming that the warrior had gone through to res the party.

I assumed wrong. He called me a noob again because he had just run all this way to get us through that zone and blah blah blah. I told him that he was in fact taking us in the exact opposite direction of dunes. But no, he was convinced that I didn't know where I was going and that dunes was not where I said it was. So when he took us back through the zone I told him that he could knock himself out looking for Dunes wherever the hell he wanted to, and I went back to agury and took my friend to dunes, with 2 henchmen, first try.

LOL OMG, it is soo FUNNY but aggrivatingly true! LOL What I hate the most is when one finally gets a good group and you work well together. Then you pick up one extra guy and that genius wants to aggro everything on the map because he sees the group work well together!

My addition to this topic:

Tonight heading to Mineral Springs I pick up one of those extremely rare groups! We work as a team, we help each other, we are nice to one another AND we kick some serious butt! It was simply awe inspiring how easy it was to take on the largest groups with ease!

Then the Mes/Ele in the group decides for himself that we are invincible and proceeds to aggro each and every group we come up against. Repeatedly. Constantly. We ask him to stop. He doesn't. We tell him to stop. He doesn't. Everytime he would aggro he would lead them back to us too! This is after we tried to all run away and let him die! We couldn't lose him as none of us had any sort of sprint or run skill equipped! We would be in the middle of a battle and he would run away and come back with ANOTHER group for us to take down! ARG!!! Then he aggros a mob of Azure Shadows, all of which are using Shield of Judgement, with a boss that uses Shield of Judgement. Slowly...painfully...inveriably...we all die one at a time... This was after fighting our way to Mineral Springs, clearing out 3/4 of Mineral Springs...ALL without one death!

The Mes/Ele then leaves...but first tells us, "OMG, you F$%^&*G NOOBS!"

It was such a good run though! All of us were just lucking out and picking up rares and uniques along the way! We all even capped some skills! To have it end like that was just...wow...just...wow...

I think (mostly hope) that as time goes by and the game matures, we will not encounter those sorry abusive "not quite as bright as a 2 watt light bulb" quite so much. That they will become bored and/or frustrated with the game and leave it.

Well I was doing an infuse run at iron mines, We had this brightliant warrior on our team! We get to the stair case with those trolls surounding us and he decides to go up it, turn around and block up the stairs with trolls for us! Wow thanks! We all die but him. When he reaches the final bridge he goes right! Can you belive it? RIGHT!!! I start tot ell him that he wants to go left not right. He immediatly starts blurting out profanity and calling racists comments at me. He is running along and aggros about 20 mobs of mursaat, he brings them all to the seer (because there is a route to the seer from the right passage but is utterly stupid to take). So he is now cornered between the seer and 20 mursaat, he dies within seconds of course. When we return to the outpost he starts calling all of us noobs and such.

On the brighter side, I was stuck at doing thunderhead keep. I decide to give it one more shot. This group has a monk primary healer and a E/Mo healer. We are about to kill dagnar and our monk primary bails. We all agree to give it a shot still. So I explain my plan to them all and give them each assignments to do right after the cutscene. It worked perfectly, not one enemy mob made it past the gate. Not one of us died the entire mission. And our healer (wich was a very good one, the E/Mo) didn't even follow us, he stayed by the king for emergencies.

its good thats u need to do missions to advance so all the noobs stay stuck on 'hard' missions while the people who actually know how to play n have the intelligence to work well with others can progress. ignore people like that, even tho i hate quitters, even id allow you to log out jus to get out of that excuse of a party.

No not really, when u get later in the game its more common that u see x/mo ppl with the res spells in order to leave the monks to their healing.

That's true..but still, everybody should have a resurrection spell, even if it is a signet.

I have had many experiences with suicidal monks, w/mo's who think they're invincible, Elementalists who enjoy tanking and then..just plain morons.

With the lack of a monthly fee, you are going to get a lot of immature 12 year old's. (Although there are some very mature 12 year old's, I have met people in their 20's who are even worse. )

I was in Ventari's Refuge waiting for the Blook and Smoke quest, and got invited intoa group. Immediately I throw up a trade message "Anyone here want a firey sword hilt?" because That was just a way to pass time and clear inv space. Well, one of the group members asks his friend also in the group if he wants it for......get this.....his new firey dragon sword he just picked up. I immediately told them that it won't work on the sword, all it does is give the sword the fire elemental damage that it comes with inherently. Well, he then proceeded to argue with me saying it will boost the damage of the sword yadda yadda yadda, and at the same time I'm getting an offer from someone else outside the group for it. I go back and forth, people keep offering me and I keep updating the price in the trade channel. I start getting yelled at for not selling it to the group member(not like it's a guild or anything) and I get called a scammer for trying to up the price, although I'm actually getting offers from other people in the area. Eventually I get kicked from the group, I sell the hilt for 700 gold and 2 fur squares, I get a string of flames from all the group members for being an ass all the while I'm trying to explain that it will not boost the damage of the sword. I even let the group members see the thing and see that it doesn't give a damage bonus, but they don't want to listen. jeez, people should start reading their posts instead of just going off like idiots.

Granite Citadel- was going to capture the elite skill

Shield of Judgement as we get there we find out Mya is way on the other side of the mountain range so we get to getting there, to this point the group had no troubles, till the war said he had to go so he is gonna have his brother play (oh no).

first word out of the brother " OMG you guys are so stupid like n-word"

yea...this will be fun X.x

anyways, he ran in every single mob dieing every single time raising our Death penalty up to max by the time we got to the boss, at this point everyone struggles to grab the skill from mya as we see the warrior running around with the mob we ignored him as this time as i started to capture, he drops all the monsters on me i die quickly getting my capture interrupted he captures his, our party cleans up and kills all the other monsters as we see mya was beaten up pretty hard but still alive, seeing the war was bashing it to kingdom come.

idiot - "muhaha die ya b*stard"
us- "wait we need to capture"

what he does final thrust and mya was dead, his repsonse, "LOL your all noobs should of captured like me because I ownz this game" and logs off.

Nameless to say the party wanted to kill him >=(

in granite he was all dancing saying how his party mates were idiots but he was soo good he got the skill without them x.x

why must there be ignorance in the world o-o;

to this day all of us in the party has him on ignore, although we will have to take it out someday since the original player not his brother might be playing =P

I totally have to agree with you on that one. I did a mission (don't remember what it was called) and it was everybody's first try except one person. He pretty much told us that to do the entire time and we won no problem.

Doing Fork Ranik with a level 17 R/N while I was a level 10 W/Mo with a primary Mo healer and another R/N, both level 11. Enough said, the level 17 R/N decided that he could take down all the mobs he could find down his path (about 12 or 13, not sure, just a lot of red dots), I was screaming: "come back, don't aggo too many of them!" Too late, he is out of the radar zone with all those red dots. We tried to catch up to him, but some mobs decided to quit and went back, we have to fight them. Seconds later, the mobs came back with 3 or 4 missing and he was dead. After clearing the area, we went up to his corpse and rez him. I apologied for not following him closed enough. Well, he didn't respond and continued running.

Seconds later, literally seconds later, he aggo more mobs and tried to bring them down to us. Our teammates were yell: "WTF are you doing? We can't take them all!" Sadly we can't ask him to bring them back. While I tried to stop them from running into the healer and ranger, I used Symbol of Wrath to trigger them all to attack me. He just stood there and watched me got creamed by all the mobs. Unfortunately I died but I took more than half of them with me and rest of the party (by rest I mean the healer and the other ranger) finished rest of the mobs off.

We were pissed, I told him not to do such thing again, all he replied was "noobs" then run off (to aggo more mobs I assumed) again. This time I PMed rest of the teammates to follow me, and I ran the opposite way. After seeing his health went down, I guess that he is bringing the mobs down. Too bad, we were all hiding and he can't find us. After quite a bit of straggle on his part (health went down and up then back down), he died eventually. We went back after his death at some spot, clearing our way, and found his corpse. NOW he is trying pretty talk his way to let us rez him. He was saying how he didn't finish this mission blah blah blah, we were all laughing at him, one of them said: who is the noob now? Left him dead, we went on with the mission. Along the way, we could still see his constant "noob", "loser", "a**hole" comments, we decided to ignore him and finished the mission.

The amazing thing is, he didn't quit the mission while he left him dead. After we get to frontier gate, we immediately kicked him off the party and we cheered. Can't a level 17 do something better like HELP us through the mission rather than screwing us over? Guess some people find that amusing to see low levels suffer. He is clearly an idiot, I wouldn't call him a noob since he is not qualified as one, just a simple idiot.
